Pat Benatar hasn’t released an album since Go in 2003, but she’s not done recording.
She tells Billboard, “We have so much stuff written. It’s just that we’re [touring] so much, and it’s really impossible to record and work at the same time… But this year we’re going to cut back a lot so we can make another record. We just told management and the agent, ‘That’s it! We’re not going to do this ridiculous amount of live shows this year. We’re just going to stay home and record these songs.”
Pat’s last new song was “Shine,” written for the Women’s March in January, and her next one is “Dancing Through the Wreckage,” which she wrote and recorded for Served Like a Girl — a new documentary about female veterans.
