Deep Purple announce archival reissues of classic albums

Deep Purple is one of the few classic rock acts that still writes, records and releases new music, but a 50-year career also means endless archival reissues. On September 8th, Rhino will release A Fire in the Sky, a selection from the band’s 19 studio albums between 1968 and 2013.

While it’s available in numerous configurations, it’s short on rarities.

Purple starts a North American tour with Alice Cooper and Edgar Winter on August 12th in Las Vegas.

On the current music front, Purple has released a long-form video for the song “Johnny’s Band,” the next single off the Infinite album. The song will be available on August 4th.
